Zotus City to Showcase Global Vision at Pula Investment Conference. The much-anticipated Zotus City project is set to take centre stage at the upcoming Pula Investment Conference during the Global Expo 2025, positioning Botswana as a rising hub for smart city innovation, trade, and sustainable growth.
The ambitious Special Economic Zone (SEZ) development in the Kalahari Desert, driven by Zotus Group, integrates smart agriculture, renewable energy, logistics, aviation, and tourism into a single urban framework. According to the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC), the initiative is designed to attract billions in investment and create thousands of jobs, bolstering Botswana’s long-term competitiveness.
Zotus Group, led by Cofounder and CEO Davison Simango, will unveil new strategic partnerships and Global Ambassadors at the conference. Among the world-class partners are Surbana Jurong of Singapore, known for major smart city projects, BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group of Denmark, celebrated for iconic architecture, and King & Spalding LLP, a top international law firm with expertise in SEZ and giga-projects.
Key highlights at the Expo include the announcement of landmark MoUs with the Government of Botswana and BITC, strategic networking engagements with global investors, and a keynote address by Mr. Simango on “Sustainable Tourism, Smart Cities, and Environmental Management.”
For local entrepreneurs, the Zotus City initiative signals a wealth of opportunities. From infrastructure and technology solutions to supply chain services and creative industries, Botswana’s private sector is encouraged to align with the project’s vision of inclusive growth.
