Young Investors Recognised as BSE and Stanbic Bank Celebrate 2025 Finance & Investment Competition Winners. The Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE), in partnership with Stanbic Bank Botswana, celebrated the winners of the 2025 BSE Stanbic Bank National Finance and Investment Competition at a special awards ceremony held at the BSE offices today. The annual event promotes financial literacy, investment skills, and economic empowerment among Botswana’s youth.

This year’s competition brought together learners from across the country who participated in the BSE Stock Market Simulator, a platform designed to provide practical exposure to trading and investment decision-making. Attendees at the ceremony included representatives from the financial sector, media, and members of the public.

Ms. Thapelo Moribame, Head of Market Development at BSE, praised the participants for their enthusiasm and financial insight. “This initiative reflects our long-term vision to build a financially literate society and empower future investors,” she said.

Ms. Realeboga Phoi, Chief Finance and Value Management Officer at Stanbic Bank Botswana, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to financial education. “We believe that nurturing financial confidence in young people today builds a strong investment culture for tomorrow,” she noted.

The highlight of the event was a panel discussion featuring the top three winners, who reflected on their learning journeys and shared strategies used during the competition.

The winners were:

  • 1st Place: Ms. Khanson Enock – P7,500 share voucher
  • 2nd Place: Mr. Golesedi Monngakgotla – P5,000 share voucher
  • 3rd Place: Ms. Loretta Moalosi – P2,500 share voucher

The event concluded with the symbolic ringing of the bell, marking the students’ induction into Botswana’s capital markets, followed by closing remarks from Ms. Mpho Mogasha, Head of Finance and Administration at BSE, who emphasized the role of youth in driving future economic resilience.
