Visa’s ‘She’s Next’ Programme Launches in Botswana, Offering Over BWP 740,000 to Women Entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneurs across Botswana now have a new opportunity to grow their businesses, with the official launch of Visa’s ‘She’s Next’ programme for 2025. The initiative brings with it more than BWP 740,000 in grant funding, alongside business training, mentorship, and networking opportunities aimed at empowering women-led enterprises.
Open to women from all industries—including agriculture, hospitality, tech, retail, manufacturing, and more—She’s Next is designed to support small businesses by addressing the persistent barriers women face in accessing capital, networks, and tailored business support.
The programme has already seen success in markets such as South Africa, Kenya, and Côte d’Ivoire, and its rollout in Botswana marks a milestone in broadening access to resources for female founders. Visa’s investment comes at a time when women make up nearly half of Botswana’s workforce but continue to face challenges in business scalability, access to funding, and long-term sustainability.
She’s Next goes beyond financial support by offering structured business development training and access to mentors with real-world experience in growing successful ventures. It also creates a platform for visibility and collaboration, key ingredients for growth in an increasingly competitive and digital economy.
Botswana-based entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply through a short online form, available at: https://mw.review.visa.com/en_MW/run-your-business/she-is-next-botswana.html
For Botswana’s start-up ecosystem, She’s Next represents more than funding—it’s a commitment to inclusive growth and the recognition of women as powerful drivers of innovation and economic resilience.
