Vee Mampeezy Demands P1 Million Over Disputed Documentary Project. Botswana musician Vee Mampeezy has issued a legal demand against Thebe Kegomoditswe, also known as Cyc Jouzy, over a documentary project titled Surviving V.

According to a letter from Vee Mampeezy’s legal representatives, the artist is seeking P1 million in damages, alleging that the documentary was initiated and publicised without his consent. The legal team claims the project is defamatory, malicious, and harmful to both his personal reputation and business interests.

The demand outlines two components of the claim, with P500,000 attributed to alleged business losses and a further P500,000 linked to reputational damage. The letter further states that the continued production and promotion of the documentary could intensify these alleged damages.

Cyc Jouzy has been given seven days to comply with a set of demands. These include halting all production activities related to the documentary, ceasing any promotional efforts, issuing a public apology across all platforms, and paying the full amount specified in the claim.

The letter indicates that failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe may result in legal proceedings. These could include an application for a court interdict to stop the project, along with additional legal consequences.

At this stage, no court ruling has been made, and the claims remain allegations presented by Vee Mampeezy’s legal team. There has also been no publicly confirmed response from Cyc Jouzy regarding the demands.

The situation highlights growing tensions around content creation, consent, and reputational risk, particularly as documentary-style storytelling continues to expand across digital platforms. Further developments are expected depending on whether the matter proceeds to court.
