Stanford Seed Offers Scholarships to Women CEOs in Africa: Botswana Entrepreneurs Encouraged to Apply. Women entrepreneurs in Botswana are encouraged to apply for the prestigious Stanford Seed Transformation Program, which is now accepting applications for its 2026 cohort. The initiative includes scholarship opportunities aimed at reducing program fees for eligible women CEOs operating businesses in Africa.
The program is designed for founders and CEOs of established companies that generate annual revenues between US $300,000 and $15 million. Through this initiative, Stanford Seed — a Stanford Graduate School of Business-led program — equips business leaders with the tools and strategies to scale and grow their enterprises sustainably.
In collaboration with the De Beers Group, the 2026 program includes scholarships specifically targeting women entrepreneurs in Africa. Candidates who are accepted into the program will be invited to apply for scholarships to ease the financial commitment of participation.
According to Stanford Seed, 43% of women-led businesses that participated in the program previously reported raising capital post-completion — an encouraging figure for Botswana’s growing community of women-led enterprises.
The program provides a unique blend of in-person and virtual training, mentorship from global business leaders, peer networking across Africa, and access to a community of ambitious, growth-oriented entrepreneurs.
