Stanford Seed and Stanbic Bank Host Startup Mentorship Session for Botswana Tech Entrepreneurs. Tech entrepreneurs across Botswana are invited to participate in a focused mentorship session titled “From Idea to Impact: Building a Successful Startup,” hosted by the Southern Africa Stanford Seed Transformation Network in partnership with Stanbic Bank Botswana.

Scheduled for 18 June 2025, the session will run from 14:00 to 16:00 at the Stanbic Bank Accelerate Incubator in Fairgrounds, Gaborone. The event is designed to equip aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs with practical guidance on transforming ideas into scalable ventures.

Delivering the keynote address is Ogone Mothooagae, Founder and CEO of Stencil Technologies, a fast-growing tech company. With a track record of innovation and leadership in the digital space, Mothooagae will share his entrepreneurial journey and offer insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by startups in Southern Africa.

This mentorship session is limited to 50 entrepreneurs, ensuring that attendees benefit from a more personalised and interactive experience. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with experienced mentors, gain strategic advice, and connect with like-minded innovators in the tech ecosystem.

Organisers aim to foster practical learning, collaboration, and actionable planning, helping entrepreneurs move beyond the idea stage and begin building sustainable businesses. The initiative supports local innovation and aligns with national goals of promoting entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and digital transformation.
