Stanbic Bank Botswana Honoured as Bank of the Year 2025 by The Banker Magazine. Stanbic Bank Botswana has been awarded the title of Bank of the Year Botswana 2025 by The Banker Magazine, a respected Financial Times publication known globally for recognising excellence in the banking sector. The award highlights the Bank’s performance, digital innovation, operational strength, and contribution to Botswana’s economic development.

The Banker Awards, regarded internationally as a leading benchmark for banking excellence, evaluate institutions from more than 120 countries. The judging process considers financial stability, strategic execution, customer value, governance, and national impact. This marks the third time Stanbic Bank Botswana has received this distinction.

The Bank was recognised for its business performance, advancements in digital solutions including Instant Money, and its work in supporting clients, small businesses, and communities across the country. Its ability to respond to changing financial needs also contributed to its strong showing in this year’s awards.

Stanbic Bank Botswana’s achievement was part of a broader success across the Standard Bank Group, with Standard Bank Angola, Stanbic Bank Tanzania, Standard Lesotho Bank, and Standard Bank Malawi also receiving awards in their respective countries.

Chose Modise, Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Botswana, expressed appreciation for the recognition, saying the award reflects the combined efforts of the Bank’s staff and its role in supporting Botswana’s growth. Modise emphasised the Bank’s continued dedication to providing relevant financial solutions and strengthening its relationship with clients and partners.
