Shaturia Manor Officially Opens: A New Chapter for Tuli’s Luxury Tourism. President Duma Gideon Boko has officially inaugurated Shaturia Manor, a five-star luxury destination in the Lotsane area of the Tuli Block, marking a significant milestone in Botswana’s growing tourism industry.
The unveiling of Shaturia Manor signals a promising development for entrepreneurs and investors eyeing the tourism sector. The retreat, graded five stars by the Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO), is expected to contribute to the diversification of Botswana’s tourism offerings and position the Tuli Block as a destination for high-end travel experiences.
Developed with facilitation from the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) and the Selebi Phikwe Economic Diversification Unit (SPEDU), the project benefited from coordinated support across the investment process—from land identification to final allocation. This collaborative approach reflects ongoing efforts to make Botswana a more investment-friendly environment, especially for high-impact projects in underdeveloped regions.
At the inauguration, key stakeholders including Mr. Boatametse Modukanele, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, and Mr. Kgotso Miles Ollyn, Acting CEO of BTO, were present. Also in attendance was Mr. Mokganedi Ntana, Tourism Development Manager for the Selebi Phikwe tourism catchment.
For Botswana-based entrepreneurs, Shaturia Manor represents more than just a luxury retreat—it stands as a practical example of how strategic partnerships, government facilitation, and local resource alignment can bring ambitious tourism projects to life.
As the hospitality sector continues to evolve, developments like Shaturia Manor could open the door to new investment models and tourism experiences. Entrepreneurs looking to enter or expand in this space may find valuable insights in the Manor’s development journey, particularly in how public and private entities can work together to unlock regional potential.
