SEZA Partners with Stellenbosch Business School Alumni for Thought Leadership EEvent. The Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA) has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with the Stellenbosch School of Business Botswana Alumni, set to host a high-level Thought Leadership Event on Wednesday, 22 April 2026 at the Avani Gaborone Resort & Casino.

The event will feature a distinguished panel including Mr. Joel Duke Ramaphoi, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Entrepreneurship; Ms. Tapiwa Masie, Acting CEO of SEZA; Dr. Farzam Kamalabadi, Presidential Envoy for International Relations and Economic Development; and Dr. Mokgadi Phoebe Ramaloko, an economic researcher specializing in Special Economic Zones in Southern Africa.

The panel discussion will explore how Special Economic Zones (SEZs) can be strategically leveraged to attract investment, enhance competitiveness, and drive innovative approaches to national growth. Organizers emphasized that the session aims to provide actionable insights into how SEZs can serve as catalysts for economic transformation, positioning Botswana as a competitive hub in the regional and global economy.
