President Boko Launches Strategic Investment Drive Across Oman, UAE, and Switzerland. President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko has embarked on a series of high-level working visits to Oman, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Switzerland, from 19th to 29th October 2025. The mission aims to attract strategic investments and strengthen economic partnerships across key growth sectors in Botswana.
The visits will focus on sectors central to Botswana’s economic diversification agenda — including financial services, mineral development, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and telecommunications. From 19th to 25th October, President Boko is scheduled to engage with government leaders and investors in Muscat, Ras Al Khaimah, and Abu Dhabi, with key meetings planned with the Oman Investment Authority and other investment institutions.
These engagements are expected to open new avenues for Government-to-Government and Business-to-Business partnerships, creating a platform for sustainable job creation and expanded trade opportunities for Botswana’s private sector.
Between 25th and 29th October, the President will continue his investment promotion efforts in Geneva, Switzerland, where he will meet global CEOs, entrepreneurs, and investors. The discussions are aimed at positioning Botswana as a competitive investment destination and fostering new collaborations with international partners.
President Boko is accompanied by a delegation of Senior Government Officials, reflecting Botswana’s commitment to building investor confidence and advancing its transformation agenda through strategic diplomacy.
