Orange Botswana Recognised for Market-Leading Data Affordability in Latest BOCRA Benchmark. Orange Botswana has emerged as one of the country’s most affordable data providers following a recent comparative review by the Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA). The study, which examined data pricing across major telecom operators, highlighted Orange’s strong position in offering competitively priced bundles designed for a wide range of consumers.

The BOCRA benchmark outlined the cost structures of retail data products industry-wide, providing an updated view of how operators are aligning with consumer needs and national goals for digital access. According to the findings, Orange Botswana continues to stand out for value-driven pricing that prioritises accessibility.

Orange Botswana CEO Néné Maïga noted that affordability remains central to the company’s approach to digital expansion, stating that accessible pricing is key to broadening participation in the digital economy. She said the benchmark affirmed what many customers have already experienced through Orange’s recent product adjustments.

Among the notable changes, Orange has reduced its 100MB data bundle from P5 to P2, positioning it among the lowest entry-level bundles available in Botswana. The company has also introduced a 150GB bundle priced at P599, replacing the previous 100GB bundle that was set at P899. These adjustments reflect Orange’s broader strategy to enhance customer value while keeping pace with evolving usage patterns.

The review draws attention to the ongoing competitiveness of Botswana’s telecommunications sector, where data affordability continues to shape market positioning and consumer behaviour. As digital services become increasingly central to business operations, education, and daily communication, pricing remains a differentiator for both urban and rural users seeking reliable access.

Orange’s latest bundle revisions further signal the operator’s continued commitment to supporting Botswana’s digital landscape, offering consumers more flexibility and cost efficiency at a time when data demand is steadily rising.
