Morupule Coal Mine Endorses Debswana’s Ya Masa SStrategy. Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) has pledged its support for Debswana’s Transformational Strategy 2025–2029, known as Ya Masa, reaffirming its commitment to collaboration and sustainable growth within Botswana’s mining sector.

MCM Chief Executive Officer Edwin Elias attended the official launch of Ya Masa, which was held simultaneously across all Debswana operations. Representing MCM, Elias expressed the mine’s full support for the ambitious programme, which aims to drive efficiency, resilience, and long‑term value creation while optimising operational resources.

The Ya Masa strategy seeks to transform Debswana’s operations through a culture of shared ownership, innovation, and prudent resource management.
