MIT Partners with BDIH to Launch Early-Stage Program for Botswana Entrepreneurs. Botswana-based aspiring entrepreneurs now have the opportunity to develop their business ideas through a new initiative led by the Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub (BDIH) in collaboration with faculty from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Applications are officially open for the Botswana Early Stage Program, a 12-week hybrid program designed to support startups in their critical early stages.

Targeted at first-time founders, recent graduates, and entrepreneurs with late-stage ideas or minimum viable products (MVPs), the program offers structured learning, mentorship, and hands-on support. Participants must be ready to commit to both in-person sessions and online learning.

The initiative aims to strengthen Botswana’s innovation ecosystem by equipping local entrepreneurs with tools to refine their business models and validate their ideas. Although specific program content has not been disclosed, the involvement of MIT faculty suggests a high-level, globally informed curriculum.

Applications close on 13 June 2025, and interested candidates can apply through the official portal: Apply here.

The Botswana Early Stage Program is part of a growing trend to provide accessible, high-quality entrepreneurship support locally. By blending international expertise with Botswana’s growing startup energy, the program presents a rare chance for emerging founders to accelerate their ventures.
