MIT KSC Launches Applications for 2026 Deep Tech Program. The MIT Kuo Sharper Center for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship (KSC) has officially opened applications for its 2026 Deep Tech Program, a groundbreaking initiative designed to transform advanced scientific research into market-ready ventures.

Developed in collaboration with the Government of Botswana and co-designed with Material Impact, the program aims to bring together Africa’s most promising scientists, researchers, and early-stage entrepreneurs. Its focus is on harnessing science- and technology-driven innovation to tackle pressing challenges across sectors such as healthcare, renewable energy, mining and minerals, and agriculture.

The program blends virtual and in-person learning, offering participants exposure to multiple innovation ecosystems across different countries. This approach is designed to provide both practical insights and international collaboration opportunities.
