Lore Kid Entrepreneurship Champions Youth Innovation in Botswana. In a refreshing step towards youth empowerment and economic development, Lore Kid Entrepreneurship is making a meaningful impact on Botswana’s entrepreneurial landscape. Founded in 2024 and based in Plot 19968, Phase 2, Gaborone, the organization is dedicated to equipping children and adolescents aged 7 to 19 with essential entrepreneurial skills.
Lore Kid Entrepreneurship offers hands-on workshops, mentorship opportunities, and interactive events aimed at sparking creativity, confidence, and leadership among young people. In just over a year since its inception, the organization has trained over 150 budding entrepreneurs in areas such as basic business operations, financial literacy, and design thinking.
A standout initiative from Lore Kid Entrepreneurship is its series of peer-led pitch competitions, where young participants present their business ideas to a panel. Winning teams receive seed grants and in-kind support to bring their concepts to life. These events not only promote teamwork and public speaking but also nurture a sense of ownership and responsibility in participants.
In April 2025, the organization launched “Future Me Costume Day,” an imaginative event that invited children to dress as their future careers. The day included drama performances, singing, quizzes, and engaging games—all aimed at helping youth visualize and articulate their ambitions.
With a mission rooted in grassroots economic development and a vision for youth-led innovation, Lore Kid Entrepreneurship continues to position itself as a pioneer in early-age business education. The organization’s efforts align with national development goals by encouraging self-reliance and creativity among the next generation.
