Leadership Changes Announced at Botswana Tourism Organisation. The Botswana Tourism Organisation has announced the suspension of its Chief Executive Officer Keitumetse Setlang and Board Secretary Kgotso Miles Ollyn with effect from 12 February 2026 until further notice. The decision was communicated in a statement issued by the organisation’s Board of Directors earlier today. The announcement confirmed that both officials have been relieved of their duties pending further developments.

Following the suspensions the Board appointed Justice Ofentse as Acting Chief Executive Officer while Neo Sekhobe will serve as Board Secretary in the interim. The appointments take effect immediately and will remain in place until further notice from the Board.

No additional details regarding the reasons for the suspensions were provided in the statement released to the public. The organisation did not indicate whether any internal review or process is currently underway.

The Botswana Tourism Organisation is responsible for promoting and supporting tourism development in Botswana through marketing coordination and sector related initiatives. The Board stated that interim leadership arrangements have been put in place to ensure continuity of operations.

Officials said the changes take effect from 12 February 2026 and will remain in force until further notice is issued. The Board has not announced any timeline for future updates or additional communication on the matter.

Interim appointees are expected to assume their responsibilities immediately and oversee organisational functions during the transition period. The organisation indicated that operations will continue under the temporary leadership structure currently in place.

The announcement marks an administrative change within the organisation while formal arrangements remain under the authority of the Board of Directors.

Stakeholders across the tourism sector are expected to monitor developments as the interim leadership assumes operational responsibility and manages ongoing activities during the suspension period pending further communication from the Board regarding any next steps or additional decisions affecting governance.
