Ghanzi Show 2025 Secures Over P1 Million in Sponsorship, Promises Economic Boost for Local Businesses. The much-anticipated 2025 Ghanzi Show has attracted over P1.1 million in sponsorship, signaling strong corporate confidence in Botswana’s premier agricultural and livestock exhibition. The show is scheduled to run from July 21 to 26 at the Ghanzi Showgrounds.

Addressing the media in Gaborone, Ghanzi Show Trust Chairperson Thato Molomo confirmed the sponsorship breakdown: Sandfire Mine contributed P350,000, Security Systems pledged P426,000 in cash and kind, Botswana Tourism Organisation committed P268,000 specifically for the horse racing segment, and Botswana Oil supported with P75,000.

Now in its latest edition, the Ghanzi Show continues to be a major platform for commercial visibility, agricultural innovation, and local economic development. Molomo revealed that this year’s showcase will host 37 exhibitors and feature over 250 cattle, including the introduction of Dexter breeds—a first for the event. Farmers will also display and sell a variety of locally grown horticultural produce, further underlining the show’s importance for the agri-business sector.

In a major highlight, President Advocate Duma Boko is expected to officially open the event and deliver the keynote address, reflecting the show’s national significance.

For Botswana’s entrepreneurs, agribusiness owners, and SMEs, the Ghanzi Show represents a valuable opportunity to network, market products, and connect with both suppliers and consumers from across the country and beyond. With increased sponsorship and broader participation, the 2025 edition is expected to enhance business exposure and stimulate rural economic growth.

The Ghanzi Show Trust encourages all stakeholders—from emerging farmers to established enterprises—to engage actively throughout the event. As Botswana continues to strengthen its agricultural value chains, platforms like the Ghanzi Show remain vital for showcasing potential, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit.
