Gaborone Shines as BTO Champions The Oneal R&B Orchestral Showcase. Gaborone’s arts and tourism scene reached a defining moment on Friday, 26 November 2025, as The Oneal R&B Orchestral Showcase delivered a refined and emotionally charged musical experience at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC). The evening blended orchestral arrangements with contemporary R&B in a way that captivated guests and reinforced the city’s growing cultural appeal.

As the Hosting Partner, Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) played a central role in supporting the production, which attracted audiences from across the region. The showcase offered a fresh lens into what Botswana’s urban tourism can become when creativity and collaboration take centre stage.

BTO CEO, Ms Keitumetse Setlang, highlighted during the event that experiences grounded in culture play a key role in positioning Gaborone as a compelling business and leisure destination. She noted that such events reflect a forward-looking vision for what the city can offer visitors seeking premium urban experiences.

The event also saw the attendance of BTO Board Members, Mr Boipuso Dikgang and Ms Keatlaretse Ntibi, alongside BTO staff members, demonstrating the organisation’s unified support for initiatives that advance Botswana’s tourism and creative sectors.

The success of the evening was made possible through partnerships with Lucara Botswana, Grand Palm Hotel Casino & Convention Resort and Lactalis, together with a team of talented performers and production partners who helped bring the orchestral showcase to life.

For Gaborone, the night signalled more than a concert; it marked the emergence of a new chapter in urban tourism. As cultural events continue to gain momentum, the city is steadily shaping an identity anchored in creativity, premium entertainment and unforgettable visitor experiences.
