G4S Botswana Rebounds to Profit with P3.2 Million Turnaround in Half-Year Results. G4S Botswana has reported a strong return to profitability, recording a profit before taxation of P3.2 million for the half-year ended June 2025. This marks a major recovery from the P8.2 million loss posted during the same period last year, signalling renewed operational strength and financial discipline within the security services firm.

According to the company’s financial report, the turnaround was driven by improved performance in its Manned Security Services division, which continues to be G4S’s largest revenue contributor. Cost-cutting measures implemented through an internal restructuring exercise also played a key role, reducing administrative expenses and improving efficiency across business units.

Revenue increased by 1.6 percent to P117.6 million, reflecting steady demand in the Manned Security Services segment despite weaker performance in the Electronic Security Solutions division. The company further noted a significant reduction in impairment losses, contributing to a healthier balance sheet and improved cash flow.

G4S Botswana highlighted that its immediate focus will remain on enhancing credit management and broadening its footprint in the growing field of security technology. With digital surveillance and integrated security systems becoming increasingly important to local businesses, the company plans to leverage its global expertise to expand service offerings tailored to Botswana’s market.

Industry analysts have noted that G4S’s positive results could boost investor confidence in the country’s private security sector, which has faced operational and economic challenges in recent years.
