From Car Boot to Boutique Empire: Thato Sadi Nkobolo Builds House of Legends in Gaborone. Thato Sadi Nkobolo, a determined Motswana entrepreneur, has transformed her passion for business into a thriving enterprise, House of Legends Boutique, a one-stop beauty and fashion destination located in White City, Gaborone.
Sadi’s journey into entrepreneurship began long before her first business registration in 2011. Inspired by her father’s business ventures, she knew from her school days that she was destined to build her own path. Initially trained in education, she later branched into various ventures, from cosmetics and perfumes to running a salon, bar, and restaurant in Tonota.
Her breakthrough came during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using her salary as a teacher, she began selling clothes from her car boot. Undeterred by lockdown challenges, she steadily built her brand, and by 2021, she secured a property in Gaborone where her vision materialised.
Today, House of Legends is more than just a boutique. It is a curated lifestyle space featuring a fashion boutique, hair salon, spa, and event garden. The boutique offers a sophisticated range of women’s wear, from stylish suits and dresses to accessories, handbags, and shoes, reflecting Sadi’s keen eye for elegance and detail.
Her story is one of adaptability, perseverance, and entrepreneurial passion. From navigating diverse industries to building a multi-service hub, Sadi exemplifies the bold, resilient spirit of Botswana’s emerging business leaders.
