FNB Botswana Highlights Growth Initiatives Under Shared Prosperity Strategy. Steven Lefentse Bogatsu, CEO of FNB Botswana, has reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to driving inclusive growth for both individuals and businesses under its Shared Prosperity: A Strategy Realised initiative.
Speaking on the bank’s recent achievements, Bogatsu highlighted the expansion of CashPlus, FNB’s financial services network, which now includes nearly 1,800 agents serving over 400,000 clients nationwide. The network is designed to enhance financial accessibility, particularly in under-served communities, providing more convenient avenues for transactions and banking services.
In addition, the FirstPreneur program continues to support Botswana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. So far, 146 entrepreneurs have benefited from mentorship, funding, and strategic guidance, enabling them to grow their businesses and contribute to the country’s economic development.
“Our purpose is to make growth meaningful for the people and businesses of Botswana,” Bogatsu said. “Looking ahead, we are focused on equipping our people to adapt and lead, creating simpler and more personalised client experiences, embracing innovation, and building sustainably.”
FNB Botswana emphasised that its strategy is not only about immediate impact but also about shaping a long-term vision where financial inclusion, innovation, and entrepreneurship are central to national development. By combining technology-driven solutions with targeted support for local enterprises, the bank is reinforcing its role as a partner for business growth and economic participation.
The Shared Prosperity strategy underscores FNB Botswana’s commitment to creating a sustainable ecosystem where individuals and businesses alike can thrive, driving economic growth and fostering resilience across sectors.
