DTC Botswana Hosts International Delegates for Diamond and Tourism SShowcase. Diamond Trading Company Botswana, in collaboration with the House of Botswana, has hosted delegates from the Diamond and Delta Tour, an initiative aimed at presenting Botswana’s diamond and tourism offering to stakeholders in the global diamond industry.

The visit formed part of a broader effort to highlight Botswana’s role in the diamond value chain alongside its tourism assets. Delegates were introduced to the country’s diamond provenance narrative, which connects the natural origins of diamonds with cultural heritage, conservation, and elements of luxury tourism.

The tour was held in partnership with The Diamond Talk, a digital platform established in 2018 by Ms Renu Choudhary. The platform focuses on knowledge sharing within the gem and jewellery sector through educational content, industry perspectives, and trend analysis. Ms Choudhary is a Diamond Graduate from the Gemological Institute of America and is described as a fourth generation gem and jewellery enthusiast.

Through the Diamond and Delta Tour, organisers aimed to create a direct engagement platform where international industry participants could gain insight into Botswana’s diamond journey and its links to other sectors. The programme positioned the country’s diamond resources within a broader narrative that includes conservation efforts and tourism experiences.

DTC Botswana stated that initiatives of this nature contribute to efforts to strengthen the country’s presence within the global diamond industry. By collaborating with partners such as the House of Botswana and The Diamond Talk, the organisation seeks to support platforms that bring attention to Botswana’s position as a diamond producing nation.

The event also reflected ongoing attempts to connect different parts of the value chain, from production to storytelling and market engagement, while highlighting Botswana’s identity within the international diamond landscape.
