Delta Automotive Strengthens Local Partnerships in Lobatse. Delta Automotive Technologies (DAT) hosted leadership from the Lobatse Town Council and councillors for a stakeholder engagement session and facility tour, aimed at deepening collaboration and providing insight into the company’s operations and future growth plans.

During the engagement, DAT outlined its ambitious outlook to double production output and expand its workforce to approximately 671 employees by 2027, signalling continued growth within Lobatse’s manufacturing sector. The company highlighted its strong operational performance, noting that it is currently A-rated by Volkswagen, one of its key clients, reflecting high standards in quality and reliability.

DAT also reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive local empowerment, sharing that 95% of its workforce comprises Batswana, with over 70% being women. This emphasis on employment, skills development, and gender inclusion underscores the company’s contribution to both the local economy and social progress.

The session provided a valuable platform for dialogue between DAT management and Lobatse Town Council leadership. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration to support local economic development and ensuring sustained community partnership.

Council representatives welcomed the engagement, noting that DAT’s growth plans align with Lobatse’s broader vision of industrial expansion and job creation.
