Creative Collaboration Grants Announced for Southern African Artists. A new funding opportunity has been launched under the Africa-Europe Partnerships for Culture: Southern Africa component, inviting artists and creative practitioners from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe to apply for grants.

Successful applicants will receive €6,000 to collaborate with a Heritage Narrative Cluster, producing innovative and engaging works that highlight cultural heritage through creative expression. The initiative aims to strengthen artistic exchange and foster cross-cultural dialogue between Africa and Europe.

The program is open to practitioners across all art disciplines, ensuring inclusivity for diverse forms of creativity — from visual arts and performance to literature and digital media. By supporting collaborative projects, the funding seeks to amplify Southern Africa’s cultural voices while encouraging new partnerships that bridge regional and international perspectives.

Applications must be submitted by 29 May 2026. Full details, including eligibility criteria and application guidelines, are available through the official call for proposals published by the Goethe-Institut.

For more information, applicants can access the official document here or visit www.goethe.de/aepc.

This opportunity represents a significant investment in the region’s creative economy, offering artists the chance to expand their practice while contributing to cultural preservation and innovation.
