Community Partners Hand Over New Library to Support Learning in Khwai Village. A new community library has been officially handed over in Khwai Village following a collaborative initiative led by Mosha Wellness Spa and a group of partner organisations.

The handover ceremony brought together stakeholders, community members and representatives of supporting institutions to reflect on the project’s impact and outline plans for continued support in the area. The event marked the formal completion of the library facility, which has been developed to support learning and educational access within the village.

Organisations involved in the initiative include First Capital Bank Botswana, African Bush Camps Foundation, Macmillan Botswana and Lilly White. The Embassy of Japan in Botswana also participated, represented at the ceremony by Kashima Kohei, First Secretary and Head of the Public Relations and Culture Section.

During the gathering, organisers highlighted the role of partnership in delivering community focused infrastructure. The event also provided an opportunity to share updates on how the facility will be used and to discuss future phases of engagement aimed at supporting the Khwai community.

The library is expected to serve as a dedicated learning space for local learners, providing access to reading materials and educational resources. Participants noted that the project reflects a coordinated effort among private sector organisations, development partners and diplomatic representatives working together toward community support initiatives.

The ceremony concluded with discussions on maintaining ongoing collaboration and strengthening support structures linked to the project.

Community initiatives such as this continue to involve multiple stakeholders working collectively to provide educational resources and infrastructure within local communities in Botswana. Organisers indicated that engagement with the Khwai community will continue as partners review progress and identify further areas for support.
