Choppies Invites Expressions of Interest for Nationwide Retail Security Services. Choppies Distribution Centre (Pty) Ltd has issued a public call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and experienced security service providers for the provision of professional retail security services across Botswana.
According to the notice, the scope of services required falls under retail manned guarding. The company outlined several key service areas, including loss prevention, protection of company assets, criminal detection and apprehension, patrolling and surveillance, emergency response and crisis management support, customer service, and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards.
The eligibility criteria state that interested service providers must be duly registered and licensed to operate in Botswana. Applicants are also required to demonstrate a minimum of five years of relevant experience in retail security services. In addition, companies must provide proof of trained and vetted personnel, maintain adequate insurance cover for both personnel and operations, and show evidence of sufficient financial and operational capacity.
Choppies further detailed the submission requirements for the EOI. Submissions must include a company profile, registration documents, and valid security operations licences. Applicants are also expected to submit details of personnel qualifications and training, along with a summary of relevant company security experience and references. A minimum of three years of independently audited financial statements is required, as well as proof of compliance with statutory requirements. Any additional retail security value-added services offered by the company should also be included.
The submission deadline for the Expression of Interest is 23 January 2026. Submissions must be sent via email to security@choppies.co.bw. All correspondence should reference “EOI – Security Services 01/2026.”
