BTO to Highlight Tourism Opportunities at Consumer Fair 2025. The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) has confirmed its participation in Consumer Fair 2025, scheduled for 25–31 August at Ditshupo Hall, under the theme “Embracing Innovation & Technology for Economic Transition.”
With 18 tourism operators and three media partners joining its showcase, BTO aims to spotlight Botswana’s rich and diverse tourism offerings while strengthening its message on the importance of domestic tourism. The participation also underscores the organisation’s continued push to position tourism as a central driver of Botswana’s economic diversification strategy.
The Consumer Fair has grown into one of the country’s most prominent trade and exhibition platforms, drawing thousands of visitors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders every year. For Botswana’s business community, the event presents an opportunity not only to market products and services but also to build partnerships, explore innovation, and identify growth opportunities across sectors.
For tourism operators in particular, BTO’s showcase creates visibility and a chance to connect with both domestic consumers and potential collaborators in related industries such as hospitality, transport, and technology. The focus on innovation ties directly into new approaches for packaging experiences, integrating digital platforms, and expanding reach to both local and regional markets.
By engaging with stakeholders and the public at the Consumer Fair, BTO seeks to raise awareness of Botswana’s tourism products and highlight how the industry can be leveraged for sustainable development. The organisation has encouraged visitors and businesses to engage at its stall, which will serve as a hub for networking, information exchange, and collaboration between tourism and other key sectors.
