BSE Launches Investor Month 2025 to Promote Financial Literacy and Market Participation. The Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) has officially launched Investor Month 2025, a national initiative aimed at empowering Batswana with practical investment knowledge and fostering greater participation in the local capital markets.

Running from 13 to 31 October 2025, the programme invites members of the public to visit the BSE offices on weekdays between 08:00 and 17:00 to engage directly with the Exchange’s team and licensed brokers — Imara Capital Securities and Motswedi Securities. The sessions will provide valuable insights into investment opportunities, market operations, and guidance on how to open a Central Securities Depository (CSD) account for trading.

In a statement, the BSE highlighted that Investor Month is part of its broader financial literacy drive to demystify stock market investing and make it more accessible to individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses seeking alternative avenues for wealth creation and capital growth.

The initiative has also received strong support from the University of Botswana Finance Society and the University of Botswana Economics Society, reinforcing efforts to cultivate a new generation of financially literate youth equipped to participate in the country’s investment ecosystem.

Through this month-long campaign, the BSE aims to deepen public understanding of how capital markets function and how investments contribute to national economic growth. The Exchange encouraged both seasoned investors and first-time participants to take advantage of the programme to build confidence in navigating Botswana’s dynamic financial landscape.
