BSE Announces New SMME Fund to Boost Entrepreneurial Growth in BBotswana. The Botswana Stock Exchange Limited (BSE) is set to introduce a new fund specifically aimed at supporting Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs), marking a significant step in efforts to strengthen the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

BSE Board Chairperson Neo Mooki made the announcement during the recent High-Level Business Engagement Forum, addressing key stakeholders from both the private sector and government. The event provided a platform to discuss strategies for driving investment and enhancing economic participation across all business levels.

According to Mooki, the upcoming SMME fund is designed to provide entrepreneurs with much-needed financial support, enabling them to scale their operations and navigate the often challenging path of business growth. While detailed mechanics of the fund are yet to be released, its creation signals a broader commitment to fostering inclusive economic development in Botswana.
