Brand Botswana and Air Botswana Unite to Boost Local Product Integration Through Stakeholder Dialogue. Brand Botswana, in collaboration with Air Botswana, hosted a strategic stakeholder engagement session aimed at strengthening partnerships with local suppliers and identifying new opportunities for Botswana-made products within the airline’s operations.

The session brought together companies currently listed with Air Botswana and prospective suppliers to exchange ideas, review customer feedback, and showcase products under consideration for onboard inclusion.

Opening the session, Ms. Kutlo Moagi, Executive Director of Brand Management at the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC), emphasized the significance of embedding local products into national platforms like Air Botswana. “Partnerships of this nature are essential for building a stronger national brand and unlocking economic value for local producers,” she said.

Ms. Malebogo Sesinyi, Air Botswana’s Head of PR, Communications and Marketing, reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to the Buy Botswana initiative. “We are proudly stocking only local products on our flights, and our focus is on raising standards while ensuring our passengers experience Botswana’s unique offerings,” she said.

The Air Botswana team shared valuable insights gathered from customer feedback, highlighting areas for improvement such as product packaging, quality, and consistency. Suppliers were encouraged to respond to feedback with continuous innovation and to meet the airline’s growing expectations around standards and supply reliability.

The dialogue also addressed existing challenges such as procurement timelines and logistical coordination, with discussions geared toward identifying product gaps, enhancing delivery frameworks, and expanding supplier participation.

The session reflects a broader national effort to promote citizen economic empowerment and to position Botswana’s products on high-visibility platforms. It concluded with a shared commitment from all stakeholders to collaborate more closely and ensure that local content continues to thrive in both domestic and international markets.
