Botswana’s Youth Climate Council Opens National Call for Young Green Leaders. The Youth Climate Council (YCC) Botswana has launched a nationwide initiative to register and mobilize young climate champions, green entrepreneurs, and youth-led organisations dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability and climate justice.

This latest effort is aimed at building an inclusive national database that brings together Botswana’s emerging generation of changemakers — from grassroots climate advocates to founders of eco-conscious businesses and community-based sustainability leaders.

With a special focus on ensuring geographic diversity, YCC Botswana is calling on young people in remote and rural districts to step forward and represent their communities. The council is actively seeking regional coordinators to participate in national conversations, ensuring that every voice — regardless of location — is part of the climate policy-making process.

Entrepreneurs in the green sector, youth group leaders, and independent activists who are driving solutions in water conservation, renewable energy, agriculture, and eco-innovation are particularly encouraged to register. Being part of the YCC Botswana database grants access to future leadership development programs, national forums, policy advocacy platforms, and cross-sector collaboration opportunities.
