President Duma Gideon Boko of Botswana is set to travel to Lusaka, Zambia, for the inaugural African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Digital Trade and Services Forum. The event, taking place from 8th to 9th May 2025, marks a significant step in advancing digital trade across the continent.
Under the theme “Unlocking the power of digital trade under AfCFTA,” the forum is expected to bring together more than 1,000 delegates, including Heads of State, Cabinet Ministers, industry leaders, academics, and innovators from across Africa and beyond. The initiative seeks to strengthen intra-African trade and collaboration through digital platforms and services.
While in Zambia, President Boko is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President Hakainde Hichilema and engage with members of the Batswana community residing in the host country.
