Botswana Tourism Organisation Showcases Destination Strength at C & L Travel Workshop. The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) took centre stage at the C & L Botswana Travel Workshop held today at Protea by Marriott Masa Square in Gaborone. Organised by the Johannesburg-based C&L Travel Collection, the event gathered key players in the travel and tourism sector, from tour operators to hospitality professionals and international representatives.

The workshop served as a strategic platform to connect Botswana’s tourism sector with global markets, highlighting the country’s commitment to promoting sustainable and experience-driven travel. BTO’s participation aimed to deepen local industry engagement and attract high-value visitors through meaningful partnerships and networking.

Attendees were introduced to Botswana’s diverse tourism offerings, from pristine wildlife conservancies to community-led eco-tourism initiatives. The event also allowed the BTO to promote its destination marketing efforts and engage directly with travel professionals interested in expanding itineraries across Botswana’s unique landscapes.

Speaking on the sidelines of the exhibition, BTO representatives emphasised the importance of consistent visibility and collaboration within the regional tourism ecosystem, especially as the sector adapts to new global travel trends.

“The C & L Travel Workshop offers an important opportunity to tell Botswana’s story to the world—through the voices of those who deliver travel experiences every day,” said one exhibitor.

For Botswana entrepreneurs and local tourism businesses, the event reinforced the value of participating in regional travel networks to scale offerings and explore emerging market opportunities.
