Botswana Tourism Organisation Promotes Local Travel at 2025 Ghanzi Show. The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) is leveraging the 2025 Ghanzi Show to spotlight domestic tourism opportunities and support local entrepreneurs in the region. Through its dedicated exhibition space, BTO is amplifying authentic travel experiences that showcase the unique cultural and ecological offerings of Ghanzi and beyond.
This year’s showcase includes participation from four Ghanzi-based tourism operators, two local artisans, and one operator from Palapye, all of whom are presenting their services and products to attendees at the show. From eco-tours and bush adventures to locally crafted goods, visitors to the BTO stall can explore travel ideas that are deeply rooted in the Kgalagadi landscape and traditions.
BTO’s presence at the Ghanzi Show reflects its ongoing strategy to strengthen Botswana’s domestic tourism value chain by promoting lesser-known destinations, empowering community-based enterprises, and encouraging citizens to travel locally.
In a further show of support for local heritage, BTO is sponsoring the 2025 Ghanzi Show Horse Race Challenge, which will take place this Saturday. The event is expected to draw large crowds and honours the region’s deep equestrian traditions, contributing to cultural preservation and community pride.
Business owners, tour operators, and aspiring entrepreneurs attending the show are encouraged to visit the BTO exhibition to connect with sector stakeholders, discover collaboration opportunities, and gather insights on how to tap into Botswana’s growing domestic tourism market.
