Botswana to Host 2026 Industrial Relations Conference Focused on Workplace Transformation. Trade Lights Consultancy has announced the return of the 3rd Industrial Relations Conference of Botswana, reaffirming the event’s place as a key platform for dialogue on labour relations and workplace development in the country.

The conference is scheduled to take place from 12 to 13 May 2026 and will be held under the theme “The New Dawn – Key to Industrial Relations Transformation.” According to Trade Lights Consultancy, the theme reflects the need for institutions to respond to changes in legislation, digitalisation and evolving workplace dynamics.

Managing Director of Trade Lights Consultancy, Nonhlanhla Ratshosa, described the conference as a rapidly growing forum that brings together employers, employees, policymakers, labour practitioners and thought leaders. She said the gathering is designed to encourage constructive engagement on issues affecting industrial relations and organisational performance.

Ratshosa noted that the timing of the conference is significant, as organisations across sectors are navigating changing labour environments while seeking to improve productivity, compliance and ethical workplace standards. She said the event aims to support institutions as they adapt to these developments.

The 2026 conference is expected to feature contributions from local and regional experts, with sessions focused on organisational transformation, dispute resolution and the changing nature of work in a digital era. The programme is intended to combine high-level insight with practical exchanges that address real workplace challenges.

Delegates attending the conference will have opportunities to participate in discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation between management and labour, while exploring approaches to building resilient and harmonious workplaces.

Ratshosa reaffirmed Trade Lights Consultancy’s commitment to equipping organisations with strategic tools to manage modern labour relations. She described the conference as a catalyst for collaboration and innovation within Botswana’s economic and industrial landscape.

She encouraged participation from public and private sector organisations, human resources professionals, trade union representatives and industry leaders, emphasising the importance of strong workplace relations in supporting national development.

Among the speakers announced for the conference are Justice Oagile Dingake, Convent Moonga, a human resources leader from Zambia, as well as industrial relations and bargaining experts from South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
