Botswana Showcases Beef Exports at Major Global Food Trade Event. Botswana is stepping up efforts to expand the international footprint of its beef industry through participation in the Gulfood Show in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC), together with the Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) through its public relations team, is representing the country at the event taking place from 26 to 30 January 2026. Their presence is aimed at promoting Botswana beef and related by-products to a global audience.
Gulfood is widely recognised as one of the world’s largest annual trade exhibitions for the food and hospitality sector. The event brings together producers, buyers, distributors and industry leaders from across the globe, offering a platform to identify trends, source products and build international partnerships.
Botswana’s participation is focused on increasing the visibility and market access of its beef products, particularly within the Gulf Cooperation Council region. Officials say the objective is to strengthen the country’s export presence by engaging directly with potential buyers and partners in the Middle East.
During the exhibition, the Botswana delegation is expected to hold on-site business meetings and networking sessions with industry stakeholders. These engagements are intended to support relationship-building and open new trade opportunities for Botswana’s meat industry.
Efforts are also being made to reinforce Botswana’s national brand in the global food market through promotional activities and follow-up discussions linked to leads generated at the show. The participation forms part of broader initiatives to position Botswana as a reliable supplier of quality beef products on the international stage, while exploring new and emerging markets.
