Botswana Savings Bank Opens Tender for Endpoint Protection Services. Botswana Savings Bank (BSB) has issued a formal invitation to local, 100% citizen-owned companies to bid for a two-year services contract covering the renewal of endpoint protection services. The contract is being procured through an open domestic bidding process, with submissions restricted to entities fully owned by citizens of Botswana.

Tccording to the notice, eligible bidders must be appropriately licensed to trade and supply ICT security services in line with national regulations. Companies must also be registered with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority under Code 120, specifically Sub-code 06 for ICT Security Management and Maintenance Services.

The tender documents are available for download from the bank’s official website at https://www.bsb.bw/tenders/. Interested bidders are required to pay a non-refundable fee of P400.00 before accessing the documents. Youth-owned companies will benefit from a discounted rate, paying half the standard fee.

BSB has emphasized that all applicable citizen economic empowerment schemes, including the Local Procurement Scheme (LPS), Citizen Economic Empowerment Programme (CEEP), and Economic Diversification Drive (EDD), will be considered during evaluation and awarding.

Tender submissions must follow a one-envelope procedure, with one original copy and two duplicates provided. Both physical and online submission options are available, with the physical tender box located at BSB Headquarters in Gaborone. The closing time for receipt of tender documents is set for 10:00 hours on 16 February 2024.

The bank has clarified that late, faxed, emailed, or telegraphic submissions will not be accepted. Furthermore, BSB reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any tender offer.This procurement underscores BSB’s commitment to strengthening ICT security infrastructure while promoting citizen-owned enterprises in Botswana’s financial services sector.
