Botswana Savings Bank Invites Citizen-Owned Firms to Redesign Staff Uniforms. Botswana Savings Bank (BSB) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) inviting 100% citizen-owned companies to submit concepts for the design and supply of new staff uniforms. This move aims to modernize BSB’s corporate image while promoting local enterprise.
The RFI outlines BSB’s intention to shift from traditional formal wear to a semi-casual, relaxed uniform style that aligns with its evolving brand. According to the bank, the objective is to enhance staff comfort and confidence, while maintaining a polished and cohesive appearance across its branches.
The Human Capital department at BSB, based at the bank’s headquarters in Gaborone, is spearheading the procurement. Interested service providers are required to submit innovative design concepts that include daily outfit suggestions, seasonal variations, and integration of the bank’s brand colors and logo. Where possible, customization by department should also be proposed.
Submissions must be accompanied by key compliance documents, including proof of company registration with CIPA, a valid tax clearance certificate, and registration with the PPRA under specific supply and service codes. Evaluation criteria will include technical capability, design creativity, experience, quality assurance standards, and previous performance.
Shortlisted providers will also participate in site visits and present their concepts directly to BSB’s evaluation panel, offering a platform to discuss design rationale, materials, and customization options in detail.
Physical submissions must be delivered to BSB’s headquarters at Tshomarelo House in Kagiso Mall, Gaborone. The deadline for submissions is 9 June 2025, with a closing time of 10:00 PM.
This initiative represents an opportunity for Botswana’s local designers and manufacturers to contribute to the country’s corporate identity landscape, while demonstrating their capacity for innovation and quality service delivery within the financial services sector.
