Botswana Life Unveils ‘Monkgogi’ Funeral Plan, Offering Flexibility and Financial Relief for Families. Monkgogi introduces several innovative features, including a January premium holiday, which allows clients to pause payments during the financially demanding start of the year without losing coverage. Other features include cover beyond age 65, cashback and return-of-premium rewards, and an upsize option to adjust for rising funeral costs.

Deon Theunis of Sanlam, Botswana Life’s strategic partner, described the product as “a redefined funeral solution that blends efficiency, simplicity, and flexibility.” Monkgogi is available in Bronze, Silver, and Gold packages, designed to suit different income levels, and offers a simplified sales process with a three-year benefit structure.

With a 69% market share and annual premiums exceeding P1.6 billion, Botswana Life continues to lead the life insurance industry.
