Botswana Hosts Elevate Africa Convening 2025 to Foster Collaboration and African-Led Solutions. Botswana welcomed leaders, policymakers, and business delegates from across the continent at the Elevate Africa Convening 2025, held under the theme, “Africa: The Next Chapter.” The conference sought to promote collaboration, leadership, and socio-economic development through Africa-driven solutions.

Opening the event, Queen Olori Atuwatse III of the Wari Kingdom and co-founder of Elevate Africa, highlighted the continent’s potential. “African people remain Africa’s great investment for inclusivity, collaboration and excellence,” she said, urging African nations to strengthen ties based on trust and shared purpose.

The gathering featured prominent attendees, including the former President of Mauritius, Her Excellency Ms Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, royals from the Eswatini Kingdom, officials from Botswana’s Ntlo Ya Dikgosi, and members of the diplomatic corps. Participants engaged in discussions on governance, leadership, cultural preservation, and economic development, with an emphasis on African-led initiatives to address the continent’s unique challenges.

Minister of Local Government and Traditional Affairs, Hon. Ketlhalefile Motshegwa, emphasised Botswana’s readiness to support the vision of Elevate Africa. “Our nation stands ready to contribute to initiatives that reinforce good governance and promote sustainable socio-economic growth,” she said.

Elevate Africa aims to reshape the continent’s global narrative by showcasing homegrown solutions and fostering collaborative networks that enhance trade, investment, and leadership across Africa. For Botswana’s entrepreneurs and business leaders, the conference presents opportunities to engage with regional partners, explore cross-border investments, and participate in initiatives that reinforce Africa’s economic and cultural development.
