Botswana Entrepreneurs and Creatives Day Set to Spotlight Innovation at Global Expo 2025. The Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) will host the Botswana Entrepreneurs and Creatives Day on 10 October 2025, as part of the Global Expo Botswana 2025 programme. The dedicated day is designed to highlight the role of entrepreneurs and the creative industry in driving economic diversification and job creation.
A key highlight will be a fire-side chat facilitated by Time, featuring Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Tony Elumelu, known for his work in entrepreneurship development across Africa. His participation is expected to provide valuable insights into building sustainable enterprises and scaling creative ventures.
The initiative underscores the creative sector’s potential to contribute significantly to Botswana’s economy, particularly in generating youth employment and expanding business opportunities beyond traditional industries. The day will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration among entrepreneurs, creatives, and industry stakeholders.
BITC has outlined clear objectives for the event, which include fostering cross-sector value chain development, unpacking policies that affect the creative economy, and hosting capacity-building workshops. Additional goals include stimulating B2B engagements, promoting export opportunities for creative brands, and encouraging benchmarking with regional and international peers.
