Botswana Entrepreneur Joins Prestigious Stanford Seed Transformation Program. Thami Sabata, Managing Director of Contemporary Linens, has been selected to join the 2025 Stanford Seed Transformation Program (STP) for Southern Africa. Sabata becomes one of the few business leaders from Botswana to participate in the globally recognised leadership initiative.

The Stanford Seed Transformation Program, run by the Stanford Graduate School of Business, offers a year-long, high-impact experience designed to equip growth-oriented entrepreneurs with the tools, strategies, and mindset needed to scale their businesses and drive economic development in their regions. Sabata’s selection to the 8th Southern Africa cohort marks a notable achievement for both himself and the local business community.

The Stanford Seed Transformation Program is currently accepting applications for its 2026 cohort. Entrepreneurs operating businesses with high growth potential across Southern Africa are encouraged to apply before the deadline of 1 May 2025 via stanfordseed.co/dbmetaSM.

The initiative is supported in part by De Beers Group through its Building Forever programme, which aims to foster socio-economic development in communities where it operates.
