Botswana Engages Global Markets at 2025 U.S.–Africa Business Summit in Angola. Botswana is actively participating in the 2025 U.S.–Africa Business Summit, which kicked off on 22 June in Luanda, Angola. The high-level event, running until 25 June, brings together over 2,000 delegates, including ten African Heads of State, business leaders, and policy-makers under the theme “Partners in Prosperity: U.S.–Africa Investment for Sustainable Growth.”

President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko is leading Botswana’s delegation, signalling the country’s commitment to deepening trade and investment ties with both the United States and fellow African nations.

The Summit highlights critical sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, agribusiness, digital transformation, creative industries, energy, manufacturing, and sustainable finance—offering Botswana a platform to showcase its potential and build strategic partnerships.

The Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) is coordinating the country’s private and public sector participation. Among the companies representing Botswana are Naledi Mining Services, Botswana Oil, Riotrade Enterprises, GKT Engineers and Contractors, Softberry Solutions, and Acute Global Limited.

These enterprises are engaging with U.S. and African counterparts to explore market access, investment partnerships, and supply chain opportunities, leveraging Botswana’s position within existing bilateral and multilateral trade frameworks such as AGOA and SACU.

For Botswana’s entrepreneurs and business community, this summit represents a valuable opportunity to connect with global investors, gain insights into evolving industry trends, and forge cross-border collaborations.

As Botswana continues to position itself as a gateway to regional markets, participation in global forums such as this reinforces its drive toward economic diversification, innovation, and sustainable private sector growth.
