Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub Hosts Coffee Session on Digital Transformation for Startups. The Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub (BDIH) has announced its upcoming Coffee Session focused on the theme “Digital Transformation and Innovation for Startups.” The event is set to provide entrepreneurs, innovators, and students with valuable insights on how technology can drive competitiveness and growth in Botswana’s business landscape.

Organised in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University Africa (CMU-Africa), the session aims to spark dialogue around the opportunities and challenges of digital adoption for startups. CMU-Africa, a Kigali-based regional centre of excellence, offers internationally recognised Master’s programs in engineering and technology under the U.S.-based Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Engineering.

The Coffee Session is positioned as more than a networking opportunity—it is a platform for knowledge-sharing, where participants can explore how digital tools, innovation, and advanced training can accelerate business development. For Botswana’s entrepreneurs, the session promises exposure to strategies that can improve efficiency, open new markets, and strengthen the ecosystem for startups.

In addition to discussions on digital transformation, the event will provide information on CMU-Africa’s educational offerings, including training opportunities and scholarship programmes. This is a direct link for local innovators and students to access advanced technical expertise that can support both academic and entrepreneurial ambitions.

By partnering with CMU-Africa, the Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub continues to position itself as a catalyst for capacity building, innovation, and global collaboration. For startups navigating today’s competitive markets, such platforms highlight practical pathways to integrate digital solutions and foster long-term sustainability.
