BITC CEO Olebile to Speak at Future of Mining Summit 2026. The Future of Mining Summit 2026, scheduled for 29–30 June at Boipuso Hall, will feature Mr. Keletsositse Olebile, Chief Executive Officer of the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC), as one of its distinguished speakers.
Olebile will join the CEOs & Managing Directors Forum, a high-level panel discussion exploring the summit’s central theme: “Mining for Transformation: Economic Diversification & Shared Prosperity.” The dialogue will focus on how mining can serve as a driver of growth across other sectors, stimulate new industries, strengthen value chains, and support broader economic diversification.
As CEO of BITC, Olebile plays a pivotal role in advocating for a competitive and attractive investment climate in Botswana. His responsibilities include facilitating both domestic and foreign investments, providing aftercare services for companies operating in Botswana, supporting regional expansion by Botswana-based firms, and promoting Botswana’s goods and services into diversified export markets.
A key aspect of his mandate is Brand Botswana, which focuses on building the country’s national image and raising global awareness of its investment opportunities. Olebile also serves as a board member of the Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA), further reinforcing his involvement in shaping Botswana’s economic landscape.
