Licensed by the Gambling Authority in August 2024, BetXplosion now enters the market with a clear commitment to citizen economic empowerment, responsible gaming, and regulatory compliance. The company currently employs 25 Batswana and has pledged to source 90% of its operational inputs locally. Additionally, 5% of its gross gaming revenue will be directed towards corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Speaking at the launch event, Gambling Authority Board Chairman Mr. Marvin T. Torto highlighted the broader importance of the launch. “This is not just a business milestone—it reflects our collective goal of fostering a regulated, inclusive industry that upholds the public interest,” he said. He called on BetXplosion to lead in innovation, player protection, and community engagement.

As the gaming landscape evolves with digital platforms, the Gambling Authority reiterated its firm stance on responsible gambling. Strict measures will be enforced to prevent underage participation, and AI technologies will be leveraged to monitor user behavior and detect potential risks such as problem gambling or financial crimes.
