BDC Opens Tender for Office and Parking Development Project, Youth-Owned Firms Encouraged to Apply. The Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) has officially invited 100% citizen-owned companies to submit proposals for a new project aimed at expanding its operational infrastructure. The tender calls for the provision of project management services for the partitioning of BDC’s new office space and the construction of parking facilities at Plots 70667 and 64512, Fairgrounds Office Park in Gaborone.

Registered bidders must hold valid certification with both the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) and the Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA). The required PPRA code for eligibility is 311 (Project Management Services), with a sub-code of 02 (Construction Project Management).

Tender documents will be made available from 10 June 2025 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of P560. However, youth-owned enterprises benefit from a 50% discount, paying only P280 upon verification of full youth ownership. Payment must be deposited into BDC’s Stanbic Bank account, with proof emailed to tenders@bdc.bw.

The submission deadline is 27 June 2025 at 11:00 AM, and documents must follow the prescribed submission format. BDC has stated that it reserves the right to reject any or all bids, without obligation to award to the lowest tenderer or to reimburse costs incurred during proposal preparation.

For Botswana’s construction and project management entrepreneurs, this tender presents a valuable opportunity to partner with one of the nation’s premier development finance institutions. It aligns with broader national efforts to empower citizen-owned and youth-led businesses in key sectors.

Entrepreneurs interested in participating are encouraged to act promptly, adhere to submission requirements, and leverage this chance to contribute to Botswana’s built environment and economic growth.
