NACB and BDC Target Investment Opportunities in Botswana’s Creative Industries. The National Arts Council of Botswana (NACB) has partnered with the Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) to explore investment opportunities in the country’s creative and cultural industries through a session at the Botswana Business Forum 2026.

The engagement, hosted at Fairgrounds Holdings, focuses on connecting creative professionals with potential investors and addressing barriers to accessing capital for businesses operating in the sector.

The partnership forms part of NACB’s vision to commercialise Botswana’s creative and cultural industries by strengthening the links between creative talent, enterprise development and investment.

The two organisations are presenting a breakaway session titled Investing in Creativity: Bridging the Gap between Talent and Capital, which will examine the investment potential of the sector and opportunities to support its commercial development.

The discussion brings together professionals from the creative, business, intellectual property and project management fields to explore different aspects of investment in creative enterprises.

Panellists include Letlhogonolo Makwinja, chief executive of the Copyright Society of Botswana (COSBOTS), and Buca Matenge, an entrepreneurship and enterprise development expert.

Other participants are Letlhogonolo Moremi, founder of ParkGrey, attorney and intellectual property consultant, and Samantha Kitlanang, founder of Nala Projects Masters, a project and programme management expert, as well as a singer and songwriter.

The panel also includes Baanthata “Bant-T” Mokgwathi, a recording artist, creative entrepreneur and co-founder of Unmuted Africa Creative Agency.

The combination of expertise is expected to bring perspectives on entrepreneurship, intellectual property, project development, music and creative business operations to the investment discussion.

The session places particular emphasis on the relationship between access to finance and the ability of creative professionals to develop commercially sustainable businesses.

For NACB, the partnership provides a platform to advance its objective of positioning arts and culture as areas of economic activity with investment potential.

The Botswana Business Forum 2026 provides the setting for the engagement, bringing together the creative and investment communities to discuss opportunities for enterprise development.

Through the collaboration, NACB and BDC are seeking to strengthen conversations around capital, enterprise development and growth within Botswana’s creative and cultural industries.
