Quali Med House Opens in Lobatse, Expanding Private Healthcare SServices. Lobatse has welcomed a new private healthcare facility, Quali Med House, offering a range of medical services to residents of the town and surrounding areas.

The facility provides medical laboratory services, clinical consultations, X-ray services, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, as well as gynaecology.

Quali Med House Hospital co-founder and managing director Irene Patsika said the business began in 2012, operating from a single room before growing into a multidisciplinary healthcare facility.

Founded by Patsika and her husband, Dr Armstrong Patsika, the facility now employs 100 people. According to Patsika, the development was designed to meet the healthcare needs of the Lobatse community and neighbouring areas.

The opening marks a new stage in the growth of the privately established healthcare business, which has expanded its operations since its beginnings more than a decade ago. Officially opening the facility, Lobatse Member of Parliament Kamal Jacobs welcomed the development, highlighting its potential contribution to local economic development and employment creation.

Jacobs also stressed the importance of maintaining professional standards in healthcare delivery, identifying patient safety, ethical conduct and compassionate care as key considerations for the facility. He noted that the value of a healthcare institution should be assessed through the quality of services it provides and the difference it makes in people’s lives.

The range of services available at Quali Med House brings several healthcare disciplines together under one facility, including diagnostic services, clinical care and rehabilitation. Its establishment adds another private healthcare provider to Lobatse, with services intended for the local community and surrounding areas.

The facility’s growth from a single-room operation in 2012 to a multidisciplinary establishment employing 100 personnel reflects the development described by its managing director.
