President Boko Celebrates 20 Years of Partnership with Rothschild Foundation. President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko has commended the enduring collaboration between the Government of Botswana and the Robert and Sara Rothschild Family Foundation, marking 20 years of partnership that has expanded access to education, literacy, and cultural development across the country.

Speaking at the celebration of this milestone, President Boko described the partnership as a model of cooperation that has delivered tangible benefits to communities, particularly in rural and underserved areas. He highlighted the Foundation’s investment in 20 Community Libraries and Cultural Centres, which have provided thousands of Batswana with access to books, digital resources, and educational programmes.

The completion of the 20th Community Library and Cultural Centre in Mogoditshane stands as a symbol of the partnership’s success. President Boko reaffirmed Government’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Foundation and supporting its efforts to promote lifelong learning and community development.

Robert Rothschild, representing the Foundation, said their work was inspired by a desire to give back to Botswana in appreciation of the friendship and hospitality extended to them by communities across the country. He noted that the libraries and centres were designed to foster literacy, cultural enrichment, and opportunities for personal growth.
